Photo Shoot
Since we cannot get enough of this little girl I thought I would share some of her newborn pictures we got done! She is an angel and so photogenic!

Hospital and first bath ever
The hospital was so awesome!
Aliah's first bath! She didn't like it too much because we couldn't put her in the water all the way...her little umbilical cord didn't come off yet.
One thing for sure about this little pumpkin is that she is sooo relaxed. She was in my belly and she still is! She loves to look around and watch everyone without making a peep..
We delivered at Payson and we got to stay in a room with a queen sized bed!
for anyone who even knows me, I hate sleeping away from Ry so this was the best thing for us for sure...
We had lots of sweet visitors in the hospital and Grandma Gifford and Aunt Morgan came as soon as they heard my water broke -they left Cali right away!

We are in heaven and ever since this little one came into our lives she has made it more special than we could have imagined. Love our sweet baby girl.

Aliah
And baby makes three...
I am so excited to share our exciting experience of adding the newest member to our family..
our good friend Nat took pics of us to announce we were pregnant! here is the one we sent out to everyone in the mail!

When we found out we were having a girl we could not be happier because we knew she was meant to be ours! And Ryan wanted a little princess. The pregnancy was great and I actually loved every minute of having this little girl inside me. My sweet family threw me the cutest shower when I was about 31 weeks along!
So girly and pink! I love how adorable everyone made it for me and my princess!
Here are the pregnant sisters altogether!

After that sweet shower my good friends Nat and Hilary threw me an adorable shower at the cutest barn! They did such a good job and everything so girly!
I just have to add these, my sweet mother in law, and sisters in law on Ryan's side brought lots of sweet gifts for me and little baby from California. So we had a small unofficial shower to open these!
They brought breakfast and lots of gifts!!! So much fun to open all the sweet things from them.
And not to mention the most adorable outfits/dresses from Grandma Gifford! She has the cutest style!
We met up with Ryan's parents and little sister Morgan for a small getaway weekend in St. George. We had such a blast and laughed pretty much the whole time. We love spending time with them. Ry's mama took adorable maternity pics for us we just love! Here are some favorites from the shoot-
I just love this silly one-You know how hard it is to get good photos with a man...he was a blast to take them with we didn't stop laughing!

Monday May 13.
I wake up with contractions at about 5 am they were about 15 minutes apart
At 9 am I had my OBGYN appointment and he checked me and said I was at one cm dialated...finally!
So all day I took a couple of walks and vacuumed the house like crazy..I guess what some would call NESTING..with contractions still coming and getting a little bit closer together.
At about 4:30 in the afternoon fluid starts leaking down my legs and I had no idea it could really be my water breaking so I called the doctor and he said to go on in to the hospital. You have to know that the night before I had some leakage and when we went in to the hospital it was not my water breaking and we along with the nurses were confused! So like a lot of first time mommys got sent home! So you can imagine my weariness about calling my Doc again after this mishap... But my Ry made me do it and when I explained to my doctor what happened he told me to get to the hospital!
I was leaking like crazy (this was a good indicator of my water breaking but how was I supposed to know!?) and when we were on our way to the hospital my contractions were all of the sudden 5 minutes apart and the most horrible pain in the world..
So I got checked in and I was having this baby!
BTW-Ryan and I decided not to bring our hospital bags because we didn't want to bring them with false hopes in case we were sent home again...too bad because this time we were not going anywhere!
3 hours of miserable contractions which were 2 minutes apart and horrifying..(I thought I was dying to say the least..) Of course not so miserable to at least have the NBA playoffs to watch! (ya right like I could focus on anything but this horrifying pain!) At least Ry could watch...:)
Finally the incredible anesthesiologist came in and saved me...
We called our best, Nat and Trent to come and bring our bags to us in the hospital! They got to spend some time keeping us company while we waited for my progress. They left later that night so Ry and I could have a little bit of time to be excited and prepare for the biggest change of our lives! (who can really prepare, right?)
So, hooked up on oxygen and tubes going every direction and with the help of petosin I was ready by 2:15 am to push.
15 minutes later our sweet Aliah came into the world and she didn't even cry! She just kept trying to lift her head to look at her momma.
7 pounds.
3 ounces.
and 19 inches long
with thick black hair and dark skin!! what a beautiful little baby....thats all I could say for a few days looking at her...
The doctor put her on top of me and she started trying to look up at my with her little neck...and she started to suck on me (telling me she was an eater like her daddy)
This was by far the most incredible thing I was able to do physically...I had no idea this would be such a hard and seemingly impossible thing which could bring this type of feeling....I instantly had a love I have never thought possible.
We love our little princess and are so excited to see her grow each step of the way!

Now I understand what people would say when they said that this will be the hardest but most rewarding moment you'll go through.....thats the best way to describe this feeling!
